Unfortunately, James Bond is leaving Amazon Prime Video at the end of the month. I watch all the James Bond films on Prime so it’s been great that they’re all included with Prime streaming. But now I’ll have to pay a $3.99 rental fee.
By the way, if you’d like to know why I, a non Bond fan, am watching all 25 James Bond movies you can read about it here: Who Is The Next James Bond? A Non Bond Fan Makes Her Prediction.
The good news is the James Bond movies were supposed to leave Prime in June but, for some reason they’re still included through August. I can’t be mad at that.
I can’t find any of the earlier James Bond movies anywhere else…none of the other streaming services, not even on DVD at the library. Yes, I thought about checking them out at the library.
The only movies I saw available on other streaming services are some from the Daniel Craig era, but none of the earlier films. I guess the James Bond franchise keeps a pretty tight leash on its movies.
Most likely, Amazon Prime has privy to all the Bond films because of its upcoming merger with MGM. MGM co-owns the Bond franchise with Barbara Broccoli and her half brother, Michael G. Wilson.
Since James Bond is leaving Amazon Prime Video, the will be making a little extra money off of me since I’ll now be paying for the movies in addition to my Prime monthly fee.
