Will the next James Bond be announced on October 5th? On the Ian Fleming Author social media accounts, there’s a post saying there will be a special announcement on October 5th. October 5th is Global James Bond Day.

James Bond Day
I didn’t know there was a James Bond Day. It was created in 2012 to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Bond films. Dr. No was filmed in 1962, but was released in 1963.
A few months ago, Barbara Broccoli, co-owner of the Bond franchise, said they weren’t yet considering a new Bond since they were reinventing him so, it’s unlikely that a James Bond is being announced so soon. But, you never know.
I Need To Speed Things Up
This announcement is reminding me that I’m moving pretty slowly through the Sean Connery era so I need to speed things up. I’m not ready for the next James Bond to be announced. I have a lot more I want to write about.
I want to write about Tom Hughes (my prediction for the next Bond actor) and what I think he can bring to the table as James Bond. I want to compare him to some of the other possibilities. And, I want to write my thoughts on where they could be taking the next Bond, but I can’t do that until I’ve gone through all twenty-five movies.
This possible announcement is putting a fire under my feet, and I’m gong to speed up and get through the Sean Connery Bond era.
